African Violets

I did these after a visit to Amphoralis, a village near here where there was a Roman Amphora factory. I love the repetetive shape -- a bit like peope standing with their hands on their hips.
oil on canvas. 23.6 x 23.6'' (1970-1990) | huile sur toile. 60 x 60 cm. Je les ai fait après une visite à Amphoralis, un village près d'ici où il y avait une usine romaine d'amphore. J'adore la forme répétitive - un peu comme des gens debout avec leurs mains sur leurs hanches.
